We went over to Uncle Mike and Aunt Mary’s house for lunch on Sunday.  Jonas enjoyed vegging out with his family and making a train out of chairs!

Santa came to Mommy’s house Christmas night.  He must have known Jonas wasn’t home on Christmas Eve!    So, the day after Christmas, Jonas opened his stocking and presents under the tree.  My personal favorite is the construction worker dress up clothes!

Jonas spent Christmas Eve and Christmas morning with his Daddy.  He said he had tons of fun, and he brought home a really awesome toy from his cousin Quincy!  Christmas afternoon we went over to Papa’s and Grandma’s house for presents and dinner.  All the children were quite hyper by this point, so it was pretty nuts!  I did manage to see Jonas open most of his presents.  He really loves them all!  In the first picture he is holding a Christmas tree he made me with his hand prints on it.  We are so blessed to have such a wonderful family!

Mrs. Willert let Jonas have some supplies to make a gingerbread house. Jonas went absolutely crazy covering every inch of the house with candy! He only ate a few pieces in the process!

Train to the North Pole!

We went on a train ride on Sunday to the North Pole to visit Santa!  The train ride was really neat.  They had a man playing Christmas songs on the accordion, and popcorn snacks.  Jonas loved hearing the train whistle and watching everything out the window.  He even got to wear his jammies on the train!  When we got to the North Pole we waited outside for about 20 minutes to get inside Santa’s workshop to see him.  Jonas and Bethany decided to play in the snow while they waited, and Jonas made snowballs with his bare hands!  He didn’t care a bit that the snow was cold.  Maybe he should live at the North Pole!  Jonas wasn’t as comfortable with Santa this time, probably because there were so many people around this time.  He did tell Santa that he wants cars for Christmas (that’s what he usually says!).  He fell fast asleep on the train ride back!

We went to the Southgate plaza to see Santa and go for a little horse and buggy ride around the parking lot there.  We had fun serenading the children with Christmas songs…they didn’t really care to join in!  Jonas loved Santa and told him about watching Rudolph and that he wanted boats for Christmas (1st time he’s said that, by the way!).  He even got a coloring book and crayons from Santa, but his favorite thing was the candy cane!

Jonas is really into the Christmas movie “Rudolph” this year.  This picture is of all the kids watching it with Papa!

Jonas and I were able to spend about 30 minutes outside while I had off last week before the wind got to us.  Really, it just got to me.  Jonas would’ve stayed out there forever!

Jonas had a great time visiting “Aunt” Beth and “Uncle” Ryan last week. He thought it was pretty funny that Bethany was afraid of little Baxter. He tried to show her how you could play with him, but it was no use!

Jonas and I had a great time decorating the tree yesterday. Jonas liked the lights and the ornaments (especially the ones that were his), but his favorite part, by far, was reuniting with the Christmas stuffed animals!
